Obituary

H. JANET KNOWLTON

SANGERVILLE and DOVER-FOXCROFT - H. Janet Knowlton, 90, died March 21, 2007, at a Dover-Foxcroft boarding home. She was born Nov. 9, 1916, in Sangerville, the daughter of Sanger A. and Lulu (Colson) Knowlton. She was the last member of her immediate family. She was predeceased by two brothers, Lyle C. Knowlton and Elwin Knowlton; two sisters, Marguerite Knowlton Hall Patterson and Phyllis Knowlton Crafts; three nieces, Louine Knowlton Stewart, Audrey Crafts and Alymer Crafts Easley; and a nephew, Dennis Knowlton. She is survived by five nieces, Beverly Crafts Eldridge, Lucena Knowlton Winberg, Carolyn Skinner, Ione Wilson and especially remembered by niece, Arlene Knowlton Jordan, who watched over her in her later years; and eight nephews, Sanger Knowlton, Richard K. Hall, Fred Hall, Dwinal Hall, Lloyd Hall, Dennis Patterson, Dallas Patterson, and Rogan Patterson. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Hilltop Manor for 34 years of loving care and kindness to Janet. Friends are invited to call 1 p.m. until time of funeral service 2 p.m. Saturday, March 24, at Lary Funeral Home, Dover-Foxcroft, with Pastor David Mumford officiating. Burial will be later in the spring in the family lot at Knowlton Mills Cemetery, Sangerville. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Hilltop Manor Activity Fund, 462 Essex St., Dover-Foxcroft, ME 04426.6
